Today marks the first day for the Key West Tarpon Guides blog! AKA. (KWTG) Our hope is to post daily about the adventures fly fishing brings to us as guides and anglers alike. Posts by Ryan and I will include daily reports about fishing both on and off the water, as well as our activities during the “off season.” A little peek into a Captains/guides life through writing and some of the amazing pictures we are provided. Let the adventure began!
Today brought fog, overcast skies, west-northwest wind, and dropping temps to KW after a beautiful day yesterday. Water temps were on the rise and thoughts Permit were dancing in our heads, but this small cold front has put an end to that! Off to the tying table!
With a quickly approaching trip to Andros I figured it would be a good idea to start tying some Bonefish flies and maybe a few “nighttime” Tarpon flies before the Key West season starts. After a little breakfast and a few cups of coffee it was game on!
